Stafford Festival Shakespeare’s 16th production, the ever popular A Midsummer Night’s Dream, boasted a number of stars including Emma Atkins, who played Charity Dingle in Emmerdale, and former Neighbour’s star Mark Little.
The score involved creating an ethereal, magical atmosphere for the fairy world as well as individual themes, entrances and exits for characters including Oberon and Titania and the more comical Mechanicals. This gave the opportunity to contrast restrained, traditional, pastoral instrumentation with more dramatic and experimental sound design.
