MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING
by David Harper
4 November, 2015
The seventeenth annual Stafford Festival Shakespeare Production to be presented open air at Stafford Castle, Much Ado About Nothing, is one of Shakespeare’s freshest comedies.
The music composed was reminiscent of traditional Italian folk music. It was important to establish the location and time at the beginning of the play and involved accurately timing the music to the movement of the actors. The play also involves a traditional ‘bergomask’, or dance, at the end of the play incorporating all the characters.
